Weng Castle
Weng Castle is a small, baroque style castle in Weng (Isar) in the Landshut district .
history
Weng belonged to the Counts of Seinsheim in the 17th and 18th centuries . Today's Weng Castle was acquired by Count Carl Arco auf Oberköllnbach in 1806 and was owned by Count Arco auf Valley until the beginning of 1990 . The former Moosweng Castle and Hörmannsdorf Castle have not been preserved. The building is now under number D-2-74-188-2 as a monument under monument protection .
Building history
The L-shaped wing structure consists of a baroque, formerly irregular four-wing complex. The two-storey building with a gable roof has a three-storey corner tower to the southeast and a volute gable to the east. Like an adjoining barn with a hipped roof and log walls, the building dates from the 18th century.
