Piflas Castle

Piflas Castle is a modern castle in Piflas, a district of the Ergolding market in the Landshut district .

It is a baroque complex with a crooked hip roof , which was built around 1725 in the manor of Bruck (a Hofmark ). On the south side of the building is the likewise baroque, north-facing castle chapel St. Johann Nepomuk (memorial day: May 16). This has a roof turret with a small onion dome . In addition, a partially brick-built barn and some parts of the baroque courtyard walling have been preserved. The entire complex is registered as a monument with the number D-2-74-126-24 at the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation .

The actor Gustav Waldau was born here in 1871 .
