Castle Kronwinkl , even old-Preysing called, is one in the municipality Eching (Landkreis Landshut) on Isarhochufer situated castle . It is the family seat of the von Preysing family .

history

The keep dates from the time the castle was built , the 12th / 13th centuries. Century. Kronwinkl Castle has been owned by Preysing since it was built . The residential buildings were built in the 16./17. Century on the Gothic curtain wall .

At the beginning of the 1970s, the band Amon Düül II lived near Kronwinkl Castle and published the piece Kronwinkl 12 in 1972 .

The current owner is Caspar Graf von Preysing-Lichtenegg-Moos.

Building description

Kronwinkl Castle is a protected architectural monument (file no. D-2-74-124-14). The description of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation reads:

“Four-wing complex with Romanesque keep, 12./13. Century and Gothic ring wall, residential wing from the 16th / 17th centuries. Century, the north-east upstream fief stock built around 1580, the pinnacle gable from 1860

Next to the castle are also the castle inn (file no. D-2-74-124-12) and the Catholic Church of St. Stephan (file no. D-2-74-124-11), also as the lower castle chapel designated, listed as a monument.
