Pfettrach Castle

The Pfettrach Castle was built in the Middle Ages as a moated castle in Pfettrach , a district of the market Altdorf in Lower Bavaria district of Landshut , built. The facility, which has since been removed, is entered in the Bavarian list of monuments as a ground monument with the number D-2-7438-0145. It was located around 100 meters southwest of the Curate Church of St. Othmar .

Pfettrach Castle was last inhabited by the Count Deroy , who withdrew to Weihenstephan Castle around 1840 and had the Pfettrach Castle demolished. The remains of the moat have been preserved on the west and south sides of the complex . In addition, a farm building has been preserved, a two-storey hipped roof building from the 17th or 18th century, which today serves as an inn . The building Am Schloßanger 1 is registered as a monument with the number D-2-74-113-17 in the Bavarian list of monuments.
