useful information
- The name “Black River” was the name for today's “Schwarza” well after the secularization of the Fulda Monastery in 1803. This designation was retained in the Electorate of Hesse . 1816, the territory of the former came diocese of Fulda as a Grand Duchy of Fulda to the Hessian state and was about 1858 on the maps as to the " Big Mill recorded" in Großenlüder.
In the vernacular of (Blankenau, Hainzell and Kleinlüder ), “Black River” or “Scharza” has been used since the Middle Ages for the “Lüder” between Blankenau via Hainzell to the (district boundary) Kleinlüder.

- The Schwarza (Lüder) has no connection to the Schwarza of the same name , which is a tributary of the Altefeld .
- North of Zahmen and south of Blankenau lies the 454 m high Steiger, from which the vernacular derived the name “Steigertal” or “Steier” early on.
