The Swiss University Sports (old name Schweizer Hochschulsport-Verband SHSV, Fédération Suisse du Sport Universitaire FSSU, Federazione Svizzera dello Sport Universitario FSSU, Swiss University Sports Federation SUSF ) is the professional association for university sports in Switzerland . The seat and the office are in St. Gallen .

purpose

The SUS holds the Swiss University Championships (SHM) annually in various sports in cooperation with the respective sports associations. Since 2016, the university championships for winter sports have been carried out under the name Swiss Winter University Games (SWUG). Since 2018, the university championships have been carried out for some sports under the name of the Swiss Universities Championships (SUC). The championship team qualifies for the European Universities Championship (EUC) in odd years or for the European Universities Games (EUG) in even years.
