Schwingen is a district of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The only access is a spur road that branches off northwards from Bundesstraße 289 at the level of the town of Schwarzenbach . The Saale runs to the west of the village and the Lamitz to the east . The Jean-Paul-Weg leads through the village.

A footbridge from 1790, which is now an architectural monument , leads over the Lamitz . It consists of granite slabs, which are supported by two granite pillars and clamped with iron and is engraved with "IK 1790".

The Angerdorf was probably founded in the 12th century with four courtyards and expanded with another courtyard in the late Middle Ages . The first documentary mention was in 1364. In 1390 there were two farms owned by the von Kotzau family on Fattigau , the two Hirschberg farms were desolate. The two families later appeared as fiefs of the burgraves of Nuremberg and the margraves of Bayreuth . In the 19th century, the Schönburg-Waldenburg became the owner. According to Ernst, 13 families or 68 residents lived in the town in 1868. Before its incorporation in Schwarzenbach an der Saale, the place with Quellenreuth formed a community in the district of Rehau .
