The seventh season of the American television series Scrubs - The Beginners celebrated its premiere on 25 October 2007 on the transmitter NBC . The German-language premiere broadcast of the German Free TV transmitter ProSieben from 3 September to 12 November, 2008.

The 2007-08 season seven production was interrupted by the strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA), which includes showrunner Bill Lawrence. Eleven episodes could be written and broadcast before the strike.

In season 7, the order of broadcasting was changed in the USA. In terms of content, episode 11 follows episode 8, which can also be seen from the fact that Dr. Kelso is still chief physician. The sequence was followed when it was first broadcast in Germany.

After JD and Elliot get closer in the ready room, they wonder what their relationship is with Keith and Kim. While Elliot breaks off his engagement to Keith, JD decides to stay with Kim because of the baby. Dr. Cox is intrigued by his new patient who keeps smiling. The caretaker seems to have a girlfriend.

Dr. Cox's daughter needs an injection, but he can't find anyone he trusts to get it right. He doesn't want to do it himself, he is afraid that his daughter might remember it later. Turk wants to finish a video game when he realizes that Carla can do it better than him. She had time to play it when Izzy couldn't sleep that night. JD and Kim become Sam's parents, but the relationship breaks down.

Jordan and the children are away, Dr. Cox suddenly realizes that he misses his family, although he doesn't want to admit it. Carla doesn't want to lose her origins as a Latina.

Dr. It's Kelso's birthday and Elliot wants to organize a party for him. Nobody really knows how old they are. When it was announced that he was 65, the board wanted him to retire because of the statutes. JD doesn't want to act childish anymore, but Turk doesn't like it and wants old JD back. Dr. Treating a boy diagnosed with leukemia, Cox fails to understand that the parents do not want the boy to find out about the disease.

Carla tries to understand what the caretaker's new friend thinks about him. Elliot discovers that her patient has taken an overdose of medication so she may die. You must now decide how to behave. Dr. Kelso wins free lifetime muffins at Coffee Bucks.

Turk is learning Spanish because he wants to surprise Carla for her anniversary. He soon realizes that he now has an advantage as long as Carla doesn't know, because he now understands a lot. JD's patient desperately wants to go to his graduation ceremony, despite his severe burns. He doesn't know if he should allow it and seeks advice from Elliot. Dr. Cox is having fun with it, Dr. Kelso stealing the food.

Elliot gets a phone call from Dr. Kelso and his wife because she was in the men's room. She worries about what she has heard until she learns that there is no reception at all in the toilet. Turk does remote control wrestling because he's sure he can always run the program. After a few defeats, JD still wins. The caretaker publishes an in-house newspaper "The Janitorial", which he mainly uses for Dr. Cox is annoyed.

Elliot and Carla want to prevent Dr. Kelso has to retire. They mobilize everyone and everything until they succeed. Only they did the math without him. He didn't notice anything about it because he had been texting an assistant doctor outside all day and didn't want to continue. Dr. Cox has a problem diagnosing a patient. JD and Turk accidentally find out what is wrong with the patient because they leave his urine sample in the sun.

After the departure of Dr. Kelso becomes Dr. Cox temporarily promoted to chief physician. Of course he likes it. Elliot is looking for an old patient, JD helps her, they can't find him, but they have a great day together and think they should do more together. The caretaker demands more confidence from Ted, which turns out to be a boomerang because Ted is now trying to control him. Carla surprises Turk by saying that she still wants a child.

After a long day at work, Dr. Cox goes home and has a bedtime story to tell his son. He makes a fairy tale out of it, in which JD the village idiot, Elliot the princess, Turk and Carla a two-headed witch and Dr. Kelso play a devil. The story tells of JD and Elliot's real patient who they can save at the last minute.

In the United States , the seventh season DVD was released on November 11, 2008. The seventh season DVD has been available in Germany since November 13, 2008.
