Sea spa

A seaside spa is a health resort in Germany that offers special spa treatments by using the sea ​​climate .

In contrast to the seaside resort , a seaside spa must meet additional conditions that entitle it to the title Seeheilbad:

  • Location on the seashore; the center of the village must not be more than two kilometers from the coastline,
  • scientifically recognized and therapeutically applicable climate that has proven itself through experience and an appropriate air quality that is monitored,
  • at least one practice of a spa doctor ,
  • Facilities for dispensing and using the cure products,
  • perfect bathing water quality on a well-kept and guarded bathing beach that is monitored,
  • Beach promenades, parks that are sufficiently undisturbed by road traffic as well as beach or landscape paths, opportunities for games and sports,
  • diet advice during the short term; Employment of at least one dietician in hospitals and diet kitchens,
  • Communication and information facility.

Like other health resorts, a seaside spa may have the addition of bath in the place name .
