Sevier County is a county in the state of Utah in the United States . The county seat is Richfield , which is also the largest town in the county.

Sevier County covers an area of ​​4968 square kilometers, of which 21 square kilometers are water. It is bordered clockwise by the counties: Sanpete County , Emery County , Wayne County , Piute County , Millard County, and Beaver County .

Sevier County was founded in 1865. It was named after the Sevier River .

Sevier County's population was 18,842 as of the 2000 census . There were 6,081 households and 4907 families. The population density was 4 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 95.61% White, 0.27% African American, 2.00% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, and 0.79% other races Groups; 0.99% were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 2.55% of the population.
