The silver fox-Verlag is a German knowledge publishing and media producer based in Tüschow, district Ludwigslust-Parchim in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , and Hamburg .
History and profile
The publishing house was founded in 2006 as an audio book publisher by the ARD radio authors and culture journalists Corinna Hesse and Antje Hinz.
Today the publisher sees itself with the connected media portal MassivKreativ and the laboratory for social and cultural value creation as a source of inspiration for meaningful, sustainable projects that are often participatory. The media productions, lectures, workshops, seminars and moderations by Hesse and Hinz focus on topics from the cultural and creative industries, among others. a. Creativity , problem-solving creativity , innovation , interdisciplinary work, coworking , sustainability , diversity and society.
Laboratory for social value creation
In their laboratory for social and cultural value creation, Antje Hinz and Corinna Hesse design and implement projects with interdisciplinary interface topics such as rural development, demographic change, education and cultural heritage, creativity and innovation, diversity and integration, identity and participation. The projects are often accompanied by documentaries, online and print publications and film interviews.
Competition for social village development
Corinna Hesse initiated a competition for social village development "Creative for MV - MV for Creative" in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (2017-2019). Projects are funded that use artistic and creative methods to strengthen the local community. Together with local residents, pioneering ideas for villages and small towns are developed in accompanying KreativLabs and tested in practice. In 2019, three projects will be awarded by an independent jury, with Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig as patron. The competition is sponsored by the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food as part of the Federal Rural Development Program (BULE).
Strategies for spatial prosperity
In cooperation with Kreative MV, the state network for cultural and creative industries Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Corinna Hesse is developing an action plan for a state strategy to develop creative spatial potential in the state. This was preceded in 2018 by the state conference "Raumwohlstand MV" in Schwerin E-Werk with almost 100 creative space pioneers, with property owners, municipalities, business development agencies and politicians. Vacancy was yesterday. Open spaces are the future!
Media productions
The publisher designs and implements its own series of publications as well as commissioned productions. a. for knowledge portals, foundations, public and private institutions. The focus is on current social issues and the transfer of knowledge through multimedia narration or storytelling :
- Audio area : Realization of audio books, audio pieces, audio features and podcasts , versatile for knowledge portals, websites, audio guides and audio apps.
- Visual area : Production of slideshows, web interviews and web videos, documentaries and cartoons, animations, interactive graphics and exhibitions.
- Live events : KreativLabs, specialist and impulse lectures, workshops, seminars, academies, moderation of panel discussions, readings with actors and sound design.
Cultural landscapes to hear
On behalf of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region , Antje Hinz and Corinna Hesse produced adventure tours through five cultural landscapes in a three-year lead project (2016–2018). In a participatory process with actors from tourism, municipalities, business development agencies and associations, audio guides and audio slideshows were created. The adventure tours are each presented by a leading figure: the garden designer and cosmopolitan Caspar Voght accompanies the guests through the Pinneberger Baumschulland, the fictional Hinnerk Heidjer guides interested visitors through the Lüneburg Heath, Hazel dormouse guides through the Segeberger Knicklandschaft, together with the water drop Enni invite children to join them exciting adventures along the Elbe course between Wittenberge and Hamburg. In the garden and lake region of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (art) craftsmen give insights into their factories in personal interviews. The audio guides will be spoken by Simone Dorenburg and Peter Kaempfe.
Innovative citizens' platform
On behalf of the districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim and Lüchow-Dannenberg, Antje Hinz and Corinna Hesse designed and implemented the innovative citizenship portal Elbe505.de in 2018 - as part of the federal research project “Regiobranding”. It tests how the population's identity and attachment to their cultural landscape can be intensified and consolidated. Elbe505.de combines regional citizen science and identity, community and social participation, tourism and regional branding, open data and journalism. The portal's unique selling point is the detailed audio interviews ( oral history ) that Antje Hinz and Corinna Hesse conducted with citizens about their regions, the Mecklenburg Griese area and the Hannoversche Wendland . The focus is on nature & landscape, places & culture, fairy tales & language, science & research. Animated cartoon characters playfully motivate people to share knowledge as well as questions and answers about the region. Schoolchildren and young people were professionalized in media workshops and inform their peers with exciting photo and film reports. The project was financed with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research .
Media and industry
portal culture and creative industries In 2015 Antje Hinz launched the online portal MassivKreativ - a showcase for the cultural and creative industries. It shows their innovation potential for society, economy, regional and urban development, politics and education. The MassivKreativ podcast of the same name provides further impetus through interviews with industry players.
Audiobooks
Many of the publisher's audiobooks accompany anniversaries as well as cultural and music festivals. These include the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival , the Göttingen International Handel Festival , the 2007 Buxtehude Festival and the China Time Festival in Hamburg, which has been held every two years since 2006 . Depending on the topic, audio books are created in cooperation, e.g. B. "Hear Germany" with the Federal Foreign Office (greeting: Frank-Walter Steinmeier ) and with foundations such as the Robert Bosch Foundation , the Peter Ustinov Foundation , the Axel Springer Foundation , the German-Russian Youth Exchange Foundation , the German Foundation for Monument Protection , the Possehl Foundation Lübeck and the Kulturstiftung Hansestadt Lübeck . For the Reformation anniversary in 2017, the audio book "Martin Luther: Freiheit. Gnade. Mensch" was created in cooperation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany as a sounding biography, which is part of a reading trip by actor Rolf Becker and musician and percussionist Stefan Weinzierl as Live audiobook is listed.
The speakers for the audio books are actors, u. a. Rufus Beck , Andreas Fröhlich , Rolf Becker , Anne Moll , Ulrich Gebauer , Dietmar Mues , Hannelore Hoger , Christoph Bantzer , Ercan Durmaz , Josef Tratnik , Peter Kaempfe and Holger Löwenberg. The texts are written by the publishers and freelance authors specifically for listening. In contrast to the usual practice, the manuscripts for the audio books are not created as secondary use from books that have already been printed.
