Libya took the two men and a woman 2008 Summer Paralympics in China's Beijing in part.

The flag bearer at the entry of the teams was the weightlifter Sahar Mostafa El Gnemi . She achieved the best placement of the Libyan athletes with 7th place in the class up to 82.5 kg.
