St. James in Dienstadt

The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Jakobus in Dienstadt , a district of Tauberbischofsheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg , was built in the 18th century.

history

The Jakobuskirche was built in the 18th century. It is a branch of the St. Martin Church in Tauberbischofsheim. The foundation walls of the choir date from the 14th century, the nave was built in 1782.

The Dienstädter Jakobuskirche belongs to the pastoral care unit Tauberbischofsheim , which is assigned to the deanery Tauberbischofsheim of the Archdiocese of Freiburg .

Church building and equipment

The furnishings include a font from 1671 and a side altar painting by Eulogius Böhler from 1902.

Mary's Grotto

There is a Marian grotto on a rock wall behind the church building .
