The HTL Bau und Design Innsbruck is a higher technical institute of the federal government in the Trenkwalderstraße in the municipality Innsbruck in Tyrol .
history
The school with structural engineering and artistic training was founded in 1884.
In 1965 there was an architecture competition for a new school building on Bachlechnerstraße. The school has been located on Bachlechnerstrasse and Trenkwalderstrasse since 1974.
architecture
The plans for the school were created in 1968 by the architects Hannes Lintl from Vienna and Siegfried A. Mörth from Maria Enzersdorfer Südstadt. From 1999 and 2001 an expansion and modernization took place according to the plans of the architect Hermann Hanak from Innsbruck. After an architecture competition (2016), the school with the architectural office aoarchitekten from Innsbruck received an increase and an extension.
