The exhibition Strong Women took place from June 4, 2008 to August 1, 2010 in the house of the Staatliche Antikensammlungen. It was conceived and designed by Raimund Wünsche . The concept comes from Bert Kaeser and Florian Knauß . In addition to exhibits from the Munich collection, which has 60 Greek vases with images of amazons, eight other lenders also made artifacts available. These are the Antikensammlung und Museum Ludwig in Basel , which provides the majority of the loans, the Academic Art Museum - Antikensammlung der Universität Bonn , the Antikensammlung der Universität Erlangen , the Museum for Casts of Classical Art in Munich, the State Coin Collection Munich , the Antique collection of the Martin von Wagner Museum in Würzburg , the Michael Werner gallery and Jean-David Cahn. At the same time as the presentation in the Staatliche Antikensammlungen, the Glyptothek will mark appropriate exhibits with special information on the topic. The exhibition was supported by the Association for the Promotion of the Glyptothek and the State Collections of Antiquities .
