Steinweg 56 (Quedlinburg)
Haus Steinweg 56 is a listed building in the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt on the south side of the Steinweg and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a merchant's house in the Quedlinburg monument register. The house Steinweg 55 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the east and Steinweg 57 to the west.
Architecture and history
The three-storey half - timbered house was built in 1783. There is an inscription on the threshold of the building. The compartments of the half-timbered facade are provided with ornamental brickwork.
Inside the building there is a staircase from the Baroque period .
On the west side of the courtyard there is a long, two-storey wing of the building, which was also built in half-timbered construction. The ground floor of the house has a massive part and probably dates from the 18th century and is probably older than the upper floor. The wing has an ornamental gable.
