She has been flying the MiG-29 since the beginning , with which the unit was equipped during this period. The Strischi made their first public appearance in France in 1992 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the French Normandy-Nyemen Air Regiment, still in the first blue and white color scheme, which has now been replaced by the Russian national colors . Before that, there was already a friendship visit to Uppsala, Sweden . On the occasion of the adoption of the GSSD , the squadron flew from Sperenberg airfield to Germany in 1994 .

There are also opportunities to fly civilians with MiG-15 , Aero L-29 , Aero L-39 and MiG-29.

The Strishi often show joint demonstrations with the Russkije Vitjasi aerobatic team . The three teams Berkuti , Russkije Vitjasi and Strischi are now among the standard teams of the MAKS air shows and the victory parades in Moscow.
