Sue Ellspermann (born April 29, 1960 in Ferdinand , Dubois County , Indiana ) is an American politician . From 2013 to 2016, she was Lieutenant Governor of the state of Indiana.

Career

Sue Ellspermann's date of birth is not publicly known. In 1978 she graduated from Forest Park High School in her hometown Ferdinand. She later studied at the University of Louisville and Purdue University . She then worked for various companies, including the Michelin Tire Corporation . Then she started her own consulting firm, Ellspermann and Associates Incorporated . In 2006, she called the University of Southern Indiana , a Center for Applied Research ( Center for Applied Research ) to life. Since 2012 she has been a director at Strategic Engagement, Transformation Team, Incorporated . Politically, she became a member of the Republican Party . Between 2010 and 2012 she served in the Indiana House of Representatives , where she served on three committees.

In 2012, Sue Ellspermann was elected Lieutenant Governor of Indiana alongside Mike Pence . She held this office from January 14, 2013. She was Deputy Governor and Chairwoman of the State Senate . In March 2016, she resigned to become president of Ivy Tech Community College . Pence named Eric Holcomb as the new lieutenant governor.
