action

Ryan Dunne loves to play baseball . Ambitious and talented, he spends most of his free time on the baseball field. He's hoping to be discovered by a professional team. He plays well; but has a handicap : he throws the ball with his left hand. Left-handed as a professional pitcher in Major League Baseball is very rare. Ryan makes a living at his father's nursery. In the summer he mows the lawn of various rich people. He is dissatisfied with his love life. His coach offers Ryan to play in the baseball summer league. Ryan is thrilled and sees this as the chance of a lifetime. In the beginning it was very difficult for him in the team. His teammates are all college students who think they are something better. However, Ryan plays very well and produces sensational performances. After all, he gradually wins the sympathies of his teammates.

One day he meets Tenley Parrish, who spends the summer months with her parents on Cape Cod, and falls in love with them. She graduated from a top university , but she has no problem with Ryan's just a gardener. Your father takes a very different view of the matter. He is a rich and very arrogant businessman and does not want his daughter to mess with a simple worker. He tries to end the relationship by threatening Ryan's father's company with canceling a large contract . It would be a financial disaster for the small horticultural company and it would have to close. Ryan doesn't know what to do.
