history

Dürrkunzendorf was first mentioned in 1353 as "czu dem dorryn Cunczendorf" and in 1384 as "Dorrenkunzendorf". It belonged to the Wünschelburg district in the Glatzer country , which was a sub-country of the crown of Bohemia . With this it shared the history of its political and ecclesiastical affiliation since its existence. It consisted of two parts:

  • In 1408 Peter Trautmann owned the Freirichtergut . The following owners included the von Alt, von Sauern and von Ullersdorf families . Johann Georg von Ullersdorf sold it to Franz Anton von Haugwitz in Pischkowitz in 1738 . From this time on it was referred to as the Haugwitz part.
  • The Domini Alan part belonged to the 1348 Titzko of Pannwitz , among other things, also owned the adjacent rule Hummel was. From 1454 to 1625 it belonged to the Donig family . In 1628 this share was converted from a fiefdom to an inheritance that belonged to the respective owners of the castle courtyard in Niedersteine, most recently the Counts of Magnis .

After the First Silesian War in 1742 and finally after the Peace of Hubertusburg in 1763, Dürrkunzendorf came to Prussia together with the County of Glatz . After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 , which was divided into districts. The district of Glatz was responsible from 1816–1853, and the district of Neurode from 1854–1932 . After its dissolution in 1933, Dürrkunzendorf again belonged to the district of Glatz until 1945. Since 1874 it formed together with the rural community Seifersdorf and agricultural estates same the District Seifersdorf.

As a result of the Second World War , Dürrkunzendorf fell to Poland in 1945. It was first renamed Kończyce and in 1947 Suszyna . The German population was expelled in 1946 . Some of the newly settled residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Suszyna belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (German Waldenburg ).

Finkenhübel Colony

The Finkenhübel colony was established after 1750 at the top southern end of the village on a plot of land whose first known landowner was Tenhard von Pannwitz. He sold it to Hans von Donig in 1454. Hans von Schweinichen owned it in 1594 and Georg von Seydlitz in 1616 . His widow sold the property in 1618 to Dürrkunzendorfer free judge Georg Alt, who connected it with the free judge property.

Around 1800 the Finkenhübel colony consisted of 19 houses, a Kretscham , a tar stove and a windmill.
