Kamieniec (German: Kamnitz , also Camnitz ) is a village in the rural municipality Kłodzko in the powiat Kłodzki (Glatz district) in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . It is nine kilometers west of Kłodzko (Glatz) , to whose independent rural municipality it belongs.

Kamieniec lies on the edge of the plateau between the Reinerzer Weistritz and the stones . Neighboring places are Ruszowice (Rauschwitz) in the northeast, Korytów ( Koritau , 1937-1945 Kartau ) in the east, Roszyce (Roschwitz) in the southeast, Szalejów Górny (Oberschwedeldorf) in the south, Wolany (Wallisfurt) in the southwest, Niwa (Reichenau) in the west and Suszyna (Dürrkunzendorf) in the northwest.
history
The first known owner of Kamnitz was Konrad von Reichenau around 1350 , followed by Matthias von Pannwitz in 1361 . It belonged to the Koritau rule since the earliest times and was parish in Pischkowitz .
After the First Silesian War in 1742 and finally with the Peace of Hubertusburg in 1763, Kamnitz and the County of Glatz fell to Prussia . For the year 1796: a manor ( Vorwerk ), a small judge's estate , nine farmers and 25 gardeners and cottagers .
After the reorganization of Prussia, Kamnitz belonged to the province of Silesia since 1815 and was incorporated into the district of Glatz from 1816–1945 . In 1939 there were 271 inhabitants. As a result of the Second World War , Kamnitz fell to Poland in 1945, like almost all of Silesia , and was renamed Kamieniec . The German population was expelled . Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Kamieniec belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship ( Waldenburg ).
