geography
Jaszkówka is on the state road 46 ( Droga krajowa 46 ), which leads from Kłodzko over the 483 m high Glatzer Pass ( Przelącz Kłodzka ) to Złoty Stok . The Glatzer Pass separates the Glatzer Kessel from Silesia . The Warthagebirge ( Góry Bardzkie ) extends northeast of Jaszkówka .
Neighboring places are the desert Joswików ( Josephstal ) and Wojciechowice in the north, Podzamek and the desert Gajek ( Hain ) in the southeast, Jaszkowa Dolna in the southwest and Kłodzko in the west.
history
Neuhannsdorf was founded by Leopold von Neuhaus and was initially called Leopoldsdorf . It belonged to the Glatzer Land , with which it shared the history of its political and ecclesiastical affiliation.
After the Silesian Wars , Neuhannsdorf and the County of Glatz came to Prussia in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg . After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 and from 1816 was incorporated into the district of Glatz , with which it remained connected until 1945. As a result of the Second World War , like almost all of Silesia, it fell to Poland in 1945 and was renamed Jaszkówka . The German population was expelled. Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . Since 1945 Jaszkówek belonged to the powiat Klodzki in the Wrocław Voivodeship, which was dissolved in 1975. In 1975 it came to the newly formed Wałbrzych Voivodeship , which existed until 1998.
