history

View over the place

Raumnitz was mentioned in 1350 as Ramnicz and in 1358 as Rampnicz. It was parish to the parish church Ullersdorf and belonged to the local Niederhof . In the middle of the 17th century, Johann Carl von Klinkovsky built a small Vorwerk on cleared ground in Oberraumnitz , which was ruined after a few years and restored in 1700. In the 18th century several colonist houses were built in Niederraumnitz.

After the Silesian Wars , Raumnitz and the County of Glatz came to Prussia in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg . After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 and was incorporated into the district of Glatz from 1816–1945 . As a result of the Second World War , like almost all of Silesia, it fell to Poland in 1945 and was renamed Romanowo . The German population was expelled. Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Romanowo belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (German Waldenburg ).
