Sven Budelmann

Sven Budelmann (born November 30, 1973 in Bremen ) is a German film editor .

Life

After graduating from school, Sven Budelmann began an internship in a Bremen film production company in 1993. From 1994 he worked as a freelance editor in the production of image films and documentaries .

He first worked on a feature film for David Jazay's horror comedy Kiss My Blood (1998). He moved to Berlin and worked there as an editor of commercials, music videos and other feature films. He was responsible for editing music videos for u. a. Rammstein , Turntablerocker , Deichkind , Die Toten Hosen , Madonna , Garbage and The Rasmus . Budelmann's career was particularly shaped by the collaboration with director Philipp Stölzl , who staged some of the advertising clips and music videos edited by Budelmann. Both also worked on the movies Baby (2004), Nordwand (2008), Goethe! (2010) and Der Medicus (2013) together. In 2014 Budelmann worked as editor on Maximilian Erlenwein's thriller Stereo , which earned him a nomination in the category of best editing at the German Film Prize .

Sven Budelmann is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA), the German Film Academy , the Federal Association of Film Editing Editor (BFS) and the German Advertising Film Academy (DWA).
