TJ Donovan
TJ Donovan , actually Thomas J. Donovan jr. , (Born January 15, 1974 in Burlington , Vermont ) is an American lawyer and politician who was elected Vermont Attorney General in 2016 and has served since 2017.
Life
TJ Donovan was born on January 15, 1974 in Burlington to the lawyer Thomas James Donovan and the politician Johannah Leddy Donovan . He has five siblings. He graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover Massachusetts and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston .
In the law firm Jarvis & Kaplan in Burlington, he worked as a lawyer and was then on in Deputy District Attorney in Philadelphia appointed. Upon his return to Vermont, he worked as the assistant prosecutor for Chittenden County . He was elected Chittenden County District Attorney in 2006 and was reassigned to that position in 2010 and 2014.
A member of the Democratic Party of Vermont, he was elected Vermont Attorney General in 2016 and is expected to take office in January 2017.
TJ Donovan is married to Jessica McCloud and the couple have two sons.
