Tamer Levent
Tamer Levent (born October 13, 1950 in Izmir ) is a Turkish actor , director , writer and artistic director . In 1977 he completed theater training at the State Conservatory in Ankara. At the Turkish State Theater he worked first as an actor and then as a director. He became General Director and Vice General Director of the Turkish State Theaters. Performances staged by him have been invited to festivals in Russia , Canada , South Korea , Iran and Cyprus . Today he still works as a director at the Turkish State Theater. Levent is chairman of the "Foundation for the Employees of State Theater, Opera and Ballet" (TOBAV) and chairman of the "Professional Association of Theater Actors" (TOMEB).
Levent married TV producer Seynan Sezgin in 1982 . The couple have two children. In 2003 a stage that bears his name was opened in the city of Çorlu , the “Municipal Tamer Levent Çorlu Stage” (tr. Çorlu Belediyesi Tamer Levent Sahnesi ). Tamer Levent initiated school lessons in the subjects of dramaturgy and creative drama. With the play Yeniden Yaratma by Ülkü Ayvaz, which he staged , the State Theater of Turkey made its first tour to Russia.
