Tine Holst Christensen (born April 8, 1980 ) is a former Danish triathlete and Ironman winner (2016).
Career
Tine Holst was active in gymnastics in her youth. In 2006 she ran her first marathon and she came to the triathlon in autumn 2007.
Triathlon professional since 2012
In July 2008 she started the long distance at Ironman Switzerland for the first time and in 2012, at the age of 32, she switched to the professional camp.
In the spring of 2009, she suffered injuries to her chest when she was overlooked and run over by a driver while cycling. In September 2013 she became the Danish Vice State Champion on the long-distance triathlon.
In 2014, a new long distance with a shortened running route was introduced in Cologne with the “Cologne Hawaii Special” and Tine Holst won the race (3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 14 km running).
At the Ironman European Championships in Frankfurt am Main in July 2015, she finished ninth.
Ironman 2016 winner
In May 2016, the then 36-year-old won the 25th Ironman Lanzarote .
In February 2019 she declared her active time in triathlon ended after eleven years. In June 2018 she started her company THCoaching and is now a coach.
Tine Holst Christensen lived in Switzerland for six and a half years, then for some time in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt am Main and today with her boyfriend and daughter in Schöneck .
