Tingsted Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Falster in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Falsters Sønder Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Nykøbing Falster Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Guldborgsund Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

2991 inhabitants live in the parish, 221 of them in the parish village of Tingsted and 1,765 in Nordbyen (as of January 1, 2020).

The church "Tingsted Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Ønslev Sogn and Eskilstrup Sogn in the north, Falkerslev Sogn in the east and Nørre Ørslev Sogn , Systofte Sogn and Nykøbing Falster Sogn in the south .
