The 2007/08 Bundesliga was the 42nd season for men and the 33rd season for women in the top German table tennis division. Champions were Borussia Düsseldorf and FSV Kroppach .
Men

Ten teams took part in the men, with Werder Bremen new . The best four teams after the end of the regular season took part in the play-off rounds to determine the German champions. Borussia Düsseldorf prevailed against TTC Frickenhausen in two finals and became German champions for the 21st time. The last two clubs were supposed to be relegated, but there were no promoted teams, so they could keep the class. After the season, however, the TTC Frickenhausen and Müller Würzburger Hofbräu merged to form the TTC Müller Frickenhausen / Würzburg , which reduced the number of teams to 9 for the next season.
Germania Holthausen (champion 2nd BL North), Tennis Borussia Berlin (2nd 2nd BL North), FC Tegernheim (champion 2nd BL South) and 1. FC Saarbrücken ( 2nd 2nd BL South) waived promotion to the 1st Bundesliga ).

Women
A total of 9 teams took part in the women’s category, new were DJK TuS Holsterhausen and TTSV Saarlouis-Fraulautern , after three teams had left the Bundesliga at the end of the preseason ( TTC Langweid , Homberger TS and TTK Anröchte ). FSV Kroppach became champion for the second time . The TTC Troisdorf was relegated and replaced by Hannover 96 and the TTC Langweid.
