Men

Clubs of the table tennis Bundesliga in the 2012/2013 season

The men's season ended on June 2, 2013 with SV Werder Bremen's 3-0 final victory over TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen , ending a five-year championship series for Borussia Düsseldorf . Only nine teams took part instead of the ten intended, as no club rose from the 2nd Bundesliga, but the TG Hanau left the 1st Bundesliga despite being sixth in the previous season. In December 2012, the TTC Ruhrstadt Herne withdrew for financial reasons, so that the season ended with only eight teams. No club had to be relegated again, Post SV Mühlhausen and TTC Hagen moved up for the 2013/14 season. The best four teams after the end of the regular season took part in the play-off rounds to determine the German champions.

Union Velbert (champion 2nd BL North), TTC Jülich (2nd 2nd BL North) and SC Fürstenfeldbruck (2nd 2nd BL South) waived promotion to the 1st Bundesliga .
