The 2011/12 Bundesliga was the 46th season for men and the 37th season for women in the top German table tennis division. Champions were Borussia Düsseldorf and FSV Kroppach .
Men
Clubs of the table tennis Bundesliga in the 2011/2012 season |
Ten teams took part in the men's race, with the new TTC Frickenhausen , which replaced TSV Graefelfing . The best four teams after the end of the regular season took part in the play-off rounds to determine the German champions. The ninth and tenth placed teams should relegate to one of the groups of the 2nd Bundesliga; however, no club moved up from below, so that TTC Frickenhausen and SV Plüderhausen could remain in the 1st Bundesliga. Instead, the sixth-placed TG Hanau left the first division, which therefore consisted of only 9 teams in the following season.
SV Siek (champion 2nd club north), TTC Jülich (second 2nd club north), ASV Grünwettersbach (champion 2nd club south) and TTC Weinheim (second second club south) did without promotion to the 1st Bundesliga .
