The 41st Tour of the Alps 2017 was a road bike race in Italy and Austria . It led from the Austrian state of Tyrol in the direction of Trentino / South Tyrol in northern Italy . The stage race held from 17th to 21st April 2017 instead. In addition, the bike race was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2017 and was classified in the 2nd HC category.

Stages
The second stage had to be shortened from 195.5 to 140.5 kilometers due to snowfall and cool temperatures. The stage started in Sterzing / Italy . As a result, the mountain classification on the Brenner Pass (category 1) was canceled .
The third stage also had to be shortened from 143.1 to 137.5 kilometers due to snowfall and cool temperatures. Thus, the mountain classification on the Würzjoch (category 1) was omitted .
