Troitskoye ( Russian Троицкое ) is a village (selo) in the Far East of Russia on the Amur River with 5143 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010). It is the capital of the Nanaiski rajon in the Khabarovsk region and the center of the settlement area of ​​the Nanaians in the region.

history

Troitskoye was founded in 1859 by settlers from central Russia not far from the Nano nomad settlement of Dolin . The area has been inhabited for centuries by Nanai and Udehe , who belong to the Tungus peoples . In 1934 the National District of the Nanaians was founded, today's Nanaiski Rajon, the administrative seat of which was Troitskoye.

economy

In the area around Troitskoye, hunting , forestry and fishing (in the Amur) are traditionally practiced . Due to the decline in fish and game stocks, these branches of the economy have come into crisis in recent years.

The settlement is located about nine kilometers from the Khabarovsk  - Komsomolsk-on-Amur highway. Several times a day buses go to Khabarovsk, once a day to Komsomolsk. In addition, passenger ships on the Khabarovsk - Nikolaevsk on the Amur line stop in Troitskoye.

Culture and sights

The local museum of local history was founded in 1975 and deals mainly with the culture of the Nanaians and Udehe. Exhibits include traditional clothing from the two ethnic groups as well as excavation pieces from a Jurchen settlement from the 12th century.

There is also a culture and leisure center in the village, as well as the national cultural center , which deals with the folklore of the Nanaians.
