Ulrich Bähnk

Ulrich Bähnk (* 1965 in Plön ) is a German actor .

Life

Bähnk completed his acting training at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg , which he graduated in 1989 with an acting diploma.

In the course of his career he had numerous permanent engagements as a theater actor , for example at the Staatstheater Hannover (1989), at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus (1991-1993), at the Hamburger Kammerspiele (1993, 2003), at the Theater im Zimmer (1994), at the Altonaer Theater ( 1996, 2000–2006) and with the solo piece The Last Smoker in the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus (2008). In 2009 and 2010 he was a guest at the Jagsthausen Castle Festival , in 2009 as Franz Moor in Die Räuber and in 2010 in the title role of Goethe's play Götz von Berlichingen .

Bähnk played a wide repertoire there , which included pieces from antiquity , by William Shakespeare , the German-speaking authors of the classical period , but especially pieces from modern times and contemporary theater. He was initially filled in the role of the youthful hero and youthful lover, but soon took over the character subject.

His stage roles included: Paris in Romeo and Juliet (1992, Deutsches Schauspielhaus, director: Michael Bogdanov ), Buckingham in Richard III. (1993, Hamburger Kammerspiele, director: Stephan Barbarino ), Bernhard in Death of a Salesman (1993, Deutsches Schauspielhaus), Wladimir in Waiting for Godot (1994, Theater im Zimmer), Nick in Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1994, Theater im Zimmer), Sosias in Amphitryon (1995, Altonaer Theater), the title role in Der aufhaltsame Aufstieg des Arturo Ui (2002, Altonaer Theater), George in Von Mäusen und Menschen (2003, Altonaer Theater) and the title role in Hamlet (2004/2005, Altona Theater).

Bähnk also worked in a few movies and numerous television productions. Directed by Roland Suso Richter, he was seen as a prosecutor in his thriller 14 days for life (1997). In the docu-drama Death Game about the hijacking of the airplane “Landshut” he played the role of Lufthansa co-pilot Jürgen Vietor . In the crime thriller Menschenjagd (1999) he played the child murderer Jürgen Haller, who kills his own niece and tries to cast suspicion on a homosexual music teacher.

He also had regular episode roles in several television series, including the television series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei , For all cases Stefanie , Adelheid and their murderers , Großstadtrevier , Wolffs Revier , Balko , Da geht Kalle , Notruf Hafenkante and SOKO Wismar . He also acted in three episodes of the crime series Tatort , u. a. 2003 in the role of Edgar Rodammer, who is slightly behavioral, in the Klara Blum crime scene Der Schächter .

He achieved particular fame in particular through his continuous lead role as Oberbootsmann Thomas Asmus in the ZDF action series Die Rettungsflieger . He also had another continuous series role in the ZDF series Der Landarzt ; there Bähnk played the village police officer Dieter Paetz on the side of Thorsten Nindel .

Bähnk also worked as a spokesman for audio books , including one can vote in his adaptations of The Sea Wolf and Tom Sawyer hear .

Bähnk, who lived with his family for a while in Lüneburg , is the father of three sons and now lives permanently in Hamburg.
