Ursula Ulrike Holl (born June 26, 1982 in Würzburg ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper and current goalkeeper coach .

life and career

With 1. FFC Frankfurt she won the UEFA Cup in 2002 and 2006 and the German championship and the DFB Cup in 2002, 2003 and 2007 . At the 2005 DFB Indoor Cup she was voted best goalkeeper. In the 2007 DFB Cup final , she saved two penalty kicks in the decisive penalty shoot-out and thus contributed significantly to her team's cup victory. After the 2006/07 season she moved from 1. FFC Frankfurt to SC 07 Bad Neuenahr . At the DFB Indoor Cup 2009 she was again voted best goalkeeper. For the 2009/10 season , Holl moved to FCR 2001 Duisburg , where she signed a two-year contract. For the 2011/12 season, she moved to league rivals SG Essen-Schönebeck . In January 2012, Holl announced the end of her athletic career in May 2012.

With the U-21 national team , she won the Nordic Cup tournament on July 22, 2006 . At the European Championships in 2005 and 2009 she was European champion as a substitute goalkeeper in the German squad . Her first international game, however, she did not play until March 9, 2007 as part of the Algarve Cup in Portugal in the 0-1 defeat against France . In the summer of 2007 she won the 2007 world championship as a substitute goal woman with the national team . At the Olympic Games in Beijing , she won the bronze medal as part of the team (substitute keeper) . After the 2011 World Cup in Germany , Holl resigned from the national team.

On December 2, 2012, Holl signed a contract as a goalkeeper coach with Bundesliga club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

After College student graduated Holl a vocational training for bank clerk and upgrading training for bank business administrator . She served in the Bundeswehr as a sports soldier and in 2011 was a corporal . Today she lives in Cologne and works full-time as a commercial clerk at Deutsche Bank in Essen . On June 18, 2010, she entered into a registered civil partnership with her partner in Cologne . Since 2014 she has been working for WDR television as an expert on women's football broadcasts.
