The WIG30 index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange based in Warsaw ( Poland ) shows the volatility and market capitalization of the 30 largest stocks traded there. The maximum index weighting for companies is 10 percent and a maximum of seven companies from one sector.

The service area ( utilities , trade , telecommunications , media and software ) comprises 26.28 percent of the share portfolio. Under Industry companies are the chemical industry , oil - and gas-promoting companies, raw materials , food and metal industries combined. These represent 29.05 percent of the equity portfolio. With a share of 44.67 percent, the finance sector , with companies from the insurance , finance and real estate industries, is the most heavily weighted component of the WIG30.

The WIG30 index was introduced on September 23, 2013 and is to replace the WIG 20 index by the end of 2015 . December 23, 2012, with 2582.98 points, was taken as the reference date for determining the base value.
