Vanessa Kaladzinskaya
Wanessa Walerjeuna Kaladsinskaja ( Belarusian Ванэса Валер'еўна Каладзінская , Russian Ванесса Валерьевна Колодинская / wanessa Valerevna Kolodinskaja * 27. December 1992 in Bobruisk , Woblasz Mogilev ) is a Belarusian wrestler . She became world champion in the weight class up to 48 kg in 2012 and world champion in the weight class up to 53 kg in 2017.
Career
Vanessa Kaladsinskaja started wrestling as a teenager in 2004. She trains in a sports school in Mogilev and her trainer is Artur Saizew. She is a student and starts at a height of 1.63 meters in the lightest weight class in women's wrestling, up to 48 kg body weight.
Since 2007 she started in the junior division and since 2010 in the senior division at many international championships. Her first start in such a championship was in 2007 at the European Junior Championships (Cadets) in Warsaw, where she came 7th in the weight class up to 38 kg. In 2008 she won at the Junior European Championships (Cadets) in Daugavpils in the weight category up to 43 kg behind Marziget Bagomedowa from Russia the silver medal . She won other junior medals at the 2010 European Junior Championships in Samokow , where she was third in the weight class up to 48 kg behind Jaqueline Schellin from Germany and Jessica Blaszka from the Netherlands and at the 2011 European Junior Championships in Zrenjanin , where she was in in the same weight class behind Tatjana Samkowa from Russia and Nina Hemmer from Germany won another bronze medal.
Her first start at an international championship in women, she completed at the 2010 World Cup in Moscow , where she reached 13th place. Also in the following championships she was never able to place in the front field. Her best result was 9th place at the European Championships in Dortmund , as she finished 9th after a win and a defeat.
In the spring of 20123 she managed to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London with a 2nd place behind Dawaasüchiin Otgontsetseg , Mongolia , at the tournament in Taiyuan / China . In London she came in 8th place after beating Jildiz Eschimowa from Kazakhstan and losing to Carol Huynh from Canada .
All the more surprising was her victory at the Women's World Cup in Strathcona County / Canada. But she presented herself there in excellent form and defeated Clarissa Chun from the United States , Alexandra Kohut from Ukraine , Li Xiaomei from China and Eri Tosaka from Japan and became world champion.
In the next few years she was initially unable to achieve such success. She was only used again at the 2014 World Cup in Tashkent, but there she lost her first fight in the weight class up to 48 kg and only came in 25th. In 2015 she was used at the U23 European Championships in Walbrzych (Poland), where she took 3rd place in the weight class up to 48 kg. In June of the same year she was also at the 1st European Games in Baku in the same weight class at the start. But she lost there in the first round against Julie Sabatie from France, which she eliminated and only reached 17th place.
In 2016, Vanessa Kaladsinskaja was used at the Olympic qualification tournaments in Zrenjanin in the weight class up to 53 kg and in Istanbul in the weight class up to 48 kg. Both times she finished 5th and thus failed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
From December 2016 onwards she showed a great improvement in various international tournaments and achieved very good results. This trend continued in May 2017 at the European Championships in Novi Sad, because Vanessa Kaladsinskaja won the European title there in the weight class up to 53 kg with victories over Julia Leorda from Moldova, Angela Dorogan from Azerbaijan and Natalja Malysheva from Russia. In August 2017 she put the crown on it at the World Championships in Paris, because she won there in the same weight class with victories over Julia Leorda, Maria Prevoloraki from Greece, Estera Dobre from Romania and the defending champion Mayu Mukaida from Japan, which she just barely did 8: 6 points defeated the world title for the second time since 2012.
