The coat of arms of Aruba has been in use since November 15, 1955 .

Blazon

Quartered by a continuous silver cross , in one in blue a growing golden aloe plant , divided in two by gold and blue, above a growing flattened green mountain - the Hooiberg , below three silver wavy threads, in three in gold two red crossed ones growing out of the field edges Hands and in four in red a six-spoke silver gear . On the shield a lying red lion , below the shield two green laurel branches tied with a green ribbon .

The aloe is an important island product and was an export product of Aruba, the green mountain with the three silver waves in blue represents the 165 m high volcanic cone Hooiberg in the middle of the island in the form of a haystack, hence the Dutch name that embodies the island of Aruba in the sea, visible from all sides of the island, the red faithful hands symbolize the expression of the will to peace between the peoples and stand for the good relations of Aruba with the rest of the world, and the silver spoked wheel is the symbol for the economy and industry of the country; the lying red lion stands for power, the pair of laurel branches for peace.
