Coat of arms of Guadeloupe
The unofficial coat of arms of Guadeloupe , a French overseas department , shows in a black shield a golden faceless sun on a green sugar cane frond lying diagonally under a blue shield head with three golden lilies . It is derived from the coat of arms of the largest city in Guadeloupe, Pointe-à-Pitre , and the capital Basse-Terre also has a similar coat of arms.
There is no official coat of arms for Guadeloupe. But there are official logos for the regional council and the departmental council .
