We Dem Boyz is a song by American hip hop musician Wiz Khalifa that was released on his fifth studio album, Blacc Hollywood, from 2014. On February 11, 2014, it was released as the first single on the album by Rostrum Records and Atlantic Records . It was produced by Detail and Choppa Boi. The song reached number 43 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On February 6, 2014, Wiz Khalifa released a 15-second preview of the song and announced its full release in the coming days. Khalifa thinks that his song reaches many listeners besides a rap audience and acts like an anthem .
The song contains an instrumental driven by "thundering" drums. In addition to the production, Wiz Khalifa raps with a subtly flowing autotune style.

The music video for We Dem Boyz was filmed on March 11, 2014 in Atlanta , Georgia . The video was then released on April 14, 2014. It includes guest appearances from BoB , Big KRIT , Ty Dolla Sign , Young Thug , Chevy Woods , Ty Glascoe, and Rich Homie Quan . The music video was nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video at the MTV Video Music Awards 2014, but lost to Drake's R&B song Hold On, We're Going Home .

criticism
We Dem Boyz received mostly positive reviews from music critics. Complex named it the third best song of the first half of 2014. Insanul Ahmed wrote that the song is driven by a distinctly trapped sound and Wiz's auto-tuned vocals. According to him, the song is not a total overhaul of his style, but a creative implementation, reminiscent of songs like Lil Reeses Us , Drake's Started from the Bottom . Instead, they rely less on the stoner rap and pop anthems that made up Wiz's style. Despite the soft start, the song is one of the greatest club and street gangster music songs Wiz has released in years.

We Dem Boyz was officially remixed by Rick Ross , Schoolboy Q, and Nas . produced and released on July 3, 2014. On February 18, 2014, the American rapper Tyga released a remix for We Dem Boyz . The rapper TI also released his own remix on April 13, 2014. Busta Rhymes and OT Genasis and J-Doe followed with a remix on May 5, 2014. Puff Daddy , Meek Mill and French Montana released their own remix on June 18, 2014. On September 11, 2014, the French rapper Rohff released his own remix Où est Rohff? . On June 19, 2015, rapper Plies released his own version of the track called We Dem Boyz P-Mix .
