history

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1732 as "Dürrenmungenauer Mühle", later also as "Fischmühle", and since 1846 as "Weihermühle".

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Weihermühle belonged to Dürrenmungenau. The Mahlmühle had the manor Dürrenmungenau of the barons von Kreß as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Weihermühle received the number 42 of the place Dürrenmungenau when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the community edict, Weihermühle was assigned to the Dürrenmungenau tax district formed in 1808 . In 1810 the rural community Dürrenmungenau was formed, to which it also belonged. On May 1, 1978 this was incorporated into the city of Abenberg as part of the regional reform .
