Wilfried Hauke

Wilfried Hauke (born January 23, 1957 in Kiel ) is a German director and film writer . Many of his films have a strong connection to Northern Europe and are produced internationally. They are assigned to the genres of documentary film , docudrama and film biography .

Life

Born in Kiel, Wilfried Hauke ​​studied German , history and Scandinavian studies in Kiel, Århus and Copenhagen and received his doctorate with a book on the comedies of the Danish-Norwegian poet Ludwig Holberg and the dramatic theory of the Enlightenment in Scandinavia .

From 1991 he worked as a freelance culture editor, author of radio plays and director of TV programs for NDR , ARD and Deutschlandfunk . From 2000 to 2003 he was managing director of Nordlicht Film / Studio Hamburg and from 2003 to 2018 producer, author and director at dmfilm and tv produktion in Hamburg and Kiel. Since 2018 he has been producing and realizing documentary and fictional films and series with his own company IDA Film & TV Produktion.

Wilfried Hauke ​​is married to the eurythmist Irene Hauke ​​(née Beseler) and has four children with her. He lives in Melsdorf near Kiel.

International productions

Hauke's film Sisters in Life with the Scandinavian stars Liv Ullman , Bibi Andersson and Ghita Nørby opened the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck in 2002 .
