Wulf Dietmar Hühn (born January 8, 1943 in Solingen ; † May 2, 2016 in Hanover ) was a German author and environmental psychologist as well as a composer , singer and guitarist .

Life

Born in 1943 at the time of the Second World War , Wulf Hühn studied psychology, sociology and philosophy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster until 1971.

After working as a psychological consultant in the project of the German Research Foundation Socialization and Environment. Young people in the socio-environmental context at the German Youth Institute in Munich Wulf Hühn worked 1976-1979 academic tutor in the seminar visualization theoretical processes and in an emerged from interdisciplinary research group at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Muenster.

Also in 1979, Wulf Hühn received the decades-long teaching assignment for planning-related psychology at the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Development at the then University of Hanover , where he worked specifically in the field of environmental and art psychology. From 1982 to 1983 he also worked as a psychological assistant in the research project Experience Effectiveness of Land Conservation Measures at the Institute for Landscape Management and Nature Conservation at the University of Hanover.

From 1984 to 1987 Wulf Hühn was a lecturer in the social affairs department of the Münster University of Applied Sciences on the subject of cultural work in the district .

In the meantime, Hühn had founded the Münster Culture Cooperative in 1984 , a cross-sectoral initiative to network free culture in and around the city of Münster. From the beginning and until 1988 he was the managing director of this cooperative and as such played a key role in the development of the KultUhrladen . At the same time, as a research assistant, Hühh carried out the project promoting cultural self-employment through lawyer planning from 1985 to 1987 . At the same time from 1986 to 1990 he was an elected member of the board of the state association for free cultural work in cultural projects in North Rhine-Westphalia . In addition, Wulf Hühn planned and directed the kick-off meeting for new German chansons held in Münster at the end of 1989 .

Meanwhile Hühn had already in 1988 the teaching position at the Department of Architecture Planning (iap), University of Hannover Architecture Psychology get. Back in Hanover, the lecturer was not only there as a musician and reciter , but was also involved in numerous artistic projects.

From 1997 to 2008 he directed and moderated the radio program Flora Motte, which specializes in chansons , at Radio Flora in Hanover. In 2002, Hühn was the main founder and, from the beginning, first chairman of the Querkunst Hannover e. . , which had set itself the goal of promoting free culture in the Hanover region by means of cross-disciplinary networking of cultural events such as music, literature, visual arts, dance and theater as well as cabaret and media.

In 2008, Hühn joined the Hanover Art Association .

In 2010, Hühn was elected to the board of the Association of German Writers (VS) in Lower Saxony .

Hühn's literary focus was on poetry , chansons, essays and short stories . Most recently he lived in Bertramstrasse , designed by Siegfried Neuenhausen and others, at number 4a in Hanover-Hainholz , which is also the seat of the Kornbrennerei Artists' Association . V.

An obituary in the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung contained a quote from the poet's work :

"... and life is so clear

really have courage ..."

Obituary notices for Hühn's death were published, for example, in the Westfälische Nachrichten with condolences from colleagues such as Joachim Hetscher , Manfred Kehr, Uli Preuss , Ernie Rissmann and Ulla Struck-Gerlach . Posthumously and on the occasion of Wulf Hühn's 74th birthday, the district center of Nordstadt Bürgererschule organized the “All Beautiful” commemoration in its stage hall on January 8, 2017 in honor of the artist, together with the City of Hanover's cultural office. Numerous colleagues, fellow campaigners and companions appeared on stage with readings, music and other performances.
