Young Guns is a British alternative rock band from High Wycombe , Buckinghamshire . The musicians previously played in the bands "Amber Falls" and "Awoken".

The band was formed in 2003 and released their debut EP Mirrors in 2009 . You were on the Kerrang shortlist in 2009 ! Awards in the “Best British Newcomer” category and toured for the magazine in 2010. This tour went through Ireland and Great Britain . Young Guns played as the opening act for All Time Low and The Blackout . On June 12, 2009 the group played at the UK Download Festival .
The group played in 2010 at the Reading and Leeds Festival , where the group played on Fridays in Reading and Sundays in Leeds on the "Main Stage" with Guns N 'Roses , Queens of the Stone Age , Biffy Clyro , Lostprophets , NOFX , Gogol Bordello , Billy Talent and A Day to Remember shared the stage. The group also played at the 2010 Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds, where they performed on the “Atticus Stage” with Against Me! and We Are the Ocean played. On November 29, 2011, the group could be seen in the broadcast WDR-Rockpalast des Westdeutschen Rundfunks (WDR).
In 2011 the group played in the opening act for Yellowcard and All Time Low on their European tour. Young Guns also supported Funeral for a Friend . In February 2012, Young Guns embarked on their first UK headlining tour . The group will also tour with Enter Shikari .
Young Guns released their first single, Weight of the World , on 2009, after the group released their debut EP, Mirrors , on June 22, 2009 . On May 30, 2010 the second EP was released with Sons of Apathy and the third EP on July 22 of the same year with Crystal Clear . In the meantime, Young Guns brought out the debut album All Our Kings Are Dead on July 12, 2010 , which the band released on their own. It entered the UK charts at number 43 on July 24, 2010 and stayed there for a week. The album also received a great response from the trade press: All Our Kings Are Dead received mostly positive reviews from Powermetal.de , BBC , Rock Sound , Ox-Fanzine and Allmusic .
The group has since released seven other singles, two of which were in the UK rock charts. The follow-up album entitled Bones was released on February 6, 2012 via PIAS . On May 25, 2016, the band announced that drummer Ben Jolliffe had left the band.
