Závadka (Hungarian Homonnazávod - until 1902 Zavadka ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia .

Roman Catholic Church, built in 1770 in a classicist style

It is located about 5 kilometers west of the town of Humenné at the breakthrough of the Ondavka River to the west.

The place was created as a locator settlement by Wallachian settlers at the beginning of the 15th century, the oldest mentions date back to 1543 and 1548. The manorial rule over the place had Homenauer rule under the sex of the Drugeths .

Until 1918 the municipality in Semplin County was part of the Kingdom of Hungary , after which it came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia and has been part of what is now Slovakia since 1993.

The catholic church in the classical style from 1770 is worth seeing, for the new church the foundation stone was laid only in 1960.
