Adidovce (until 1927 Slovak "Adzidovce"; Hungarian Agyidóc ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with 221 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Humenné of, a circle kraj Prešovský heard. Rather, it is part of the traditional Zemplín landscape .
geography
The municipality is located in the southern part of the Low Beskids , more precisely in the Laborecká vrchovina mountain range , in the Udava valley . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 209 m nm and is 15 kilometers from Humenné .
Neighboring communities are Zubné in the north, Pichné in the northeast, Snina in the east, Dlhé nad Cirochou in the southeast, Vyšný Hrušov in the south and west and Hankovce and Jabloň in the northwest.
history
The place was founded on the territory of the manor of Humenné and mentioned for the first time in 1568 as Adzudocz . In the 17th century Georg Drugeth donated the property to the Jesuits of Humenné, and the families Csáky (in the 18th century) and Andrássy (in the 20th century) owned goods in the village. In 1828 there were 31 houses and 231 residents who were employed as foresters, carters and farmers, among other things.
Until 1918/1919, the place in Semplin County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
population
According to the 2011 census, there were 212 inhabitants in Adidovce, including 200 Slovaks and one Russian , one Czech and one Ukrainian . Three residents indicated a different ethnic group and six residents gave no information about the ethnic group .
111 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church, 56 residents supported the Greek Catholic Church, 17 residents supported the Jehovah's Witnesses and two residents supported the Jehovah's Witnesses; one resident professed a different denomination. 14 residents had no denomination and 11 residents had no denomination.
