Złotogłowice (German Groß Neundorf , 1945–1947 Złotopól ) is a village in the rural municipality of Nysa (Neisse) in Poland . It is located in the powiat Nyski (Neisse district) in the Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location
The street village of Złotogłowice is located in the southwest of the historical region of Upper Silesia . The place is about four kilometers northeast of the municipal seat and the district town Nysa and about 52 kilometers southwest of the voivodeship capital Opole .
The place is in the Nizina Śląska (Silesian Plain) within the Dolina Nysy Kłodzkiej (Glatzer Neisse Valley) . The state road Droga krajowa 46 runs west of the village and the state road Droga krajowa 41 to the south . The Voivodeship Road Droga wojewódzka 406 runs southeast in an east-west direction .

history
In the work Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis from the years 1295-1305, the place is first mentioned as Jacobi villa . 1309 the place is mentioned as Nova villa . In 1325 the place is mentioned as Nowa villa .
After the First Silesian War in 1742, Groß Neundorf and most of Silesia fell to Prussia .
After the reorganization of the province of Silesia which belonged Landsgemeinde United Neundorf from 1816 to district Neisse in the administrative district of Opole . In 1845 there was a Scholtisei , a Catholic church, a Catholic school, a pilgrimage chapel, three brickworks, and 184 other houses in the village. In the same year, 1152 people lived in Groß Neundorf, one of them Protestant. In 1855, 1180 people lived in the village. In 1874 the district of Groß Neundorf was founded, which consisted of the rural communities Groß Neundorf, Hannsdorf and Weitzenberg. In 1885 Groß Neundorf had 1522 inhabitants.
In 1933 there were 1571 people in Groß Neundorf and 1617 in 1939. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neisse .
In 1945 the place came under Polish administration and was initially renamed Złotopól , the population was expelled. In 1947 the place was renamed Złotogłowice . In 1950 Złotogłowice came to the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Nyski . In 2017, the bypass road for Neisse, known as Droga krajowa 41 , opened south of the village .
Attractions
- The Roman Catholic Church of St. Catherine (Polish Kościół św. Katarzyny ) already existed in the 14th century. In 1904 the Gothic nave was torn down and replaced by a larger new building. The church tower was preserved. The church building has been a listed building since 1966.
