geography

The former wasteland has risen in the Hohholz district. It is surrounded by forest all around: Ochsengraben in the northwest , Hutschlag in the northeast, Leintännig in the southeast .

history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the brickworks belonged to Hohholz . The estate was owned by Brunn as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth , the brickworks received house number 11 in the village of Hohholz.

As part of the municipal edict, Ziegelhütte was assigned to the Brunn tax district, formed in 1811 . She also belonged to the rural community of Brunn, founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-grouped into the newly formed rural community Hohholz. On January 1, 1972, Ziegelhütte was incorporated into Emskirchen as part of the regional reform .
