Rennhofer Feld is 1 km to the southwest .

history

The first documentary mention of the place took place in 1158 in a letter of protection from the Münchaurach monastery as "Rinhofen with the chapels and its affiliations". Between 1439 and 1449 the church of St. Margaretha was built by the abbess Margaretha Seckendorff-Rinnhofe . The Margaret Festival is celebrated every year on July 13th.

The Birkenfeld Monastery , which had close ties to the Seckendorff family , founded a pilgrimage to the St. Margaretha Chapel, which continued to exist after the Reformation in the 16th century.

At the end of the 18th century, Rennhofen and Bottenbach formed a community. There were 28 properties in Rennhofen. The high court exercised partly the Brandenburg-Bayreuthische Stadtvogteiamt Neustadt an der Aisch , partly the rule Wilhermsdorf . There was no joint rulership of the village and community . The landlords were the principality of Bayreuth (21 properties; caste office Neustadt an der Aisch : 9 goods, 1 semi-estate, 1 small estate; Münchaurach monastery office : 8 goods, 2 small estates) and the lordship of Wilhermsdorf (4 estates, 1 house, 2 half-houses).

In 1810 Rennhofen came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the tax district of Herrnneuse , which was formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the rural community of Herrnneuses, founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was dissolved and formed its own rural community, to which Bottenbach belonged. This was subordinate to the regional court Neustadt an der Aisch in administration and jurisdiction and in the financial administration to the Rentamt Neustadt an der Aisch (renamed in 1920 to Finanzamt Neustadt an der Aisch). From 1862 Rennhofen was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed the Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ). Jurisdiction remained with the Neustadt District Court until 1879, and Neustadt an der Aisch District Court from 1880 . The municipality had an area of 5,477 km².

On January 1, 1972 Rennhofen was incorporated into Emskirchen as part of the regional reform .

In 1997 a large beer garden, the tree house , was built in Rennhofen .
