history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1361/64 in the castle counts Salbuch as “Leutsmuel”. The Münchaurach monastery acquired goods in Grieshof and Leitsmühle. In 1637 these were sold by the monastery office. In 1730 they became a manor with an expanded lower bailiwick.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Leitsmühle belonged to Borbath . The mill had the manor Sichardshof as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth , the Leitsmühle was given house number 13 in the village of Borbath.

As part of the municipal edict, Leitsmühle was assigned to the Münchaurach tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Mausdorf, founded in 1813 . The patrimonial Sichardshof held voluntary jurisdiction and the police until 1848 . On January 1, 1978 Mausdorf was incorporated into Emskirchen as part of the regional reform .
